Trust and confidence. You can’t be successful in the mortgage industry without them. That’s why we go above and beyond the industry standard when it comes to protecting the personal and confidential information of your members. Below is an extensive overview of the policies and safeguards we have in place. Please take a moment to review them, and don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.
Member First Mortgage will provide your members with competitive products and services that best meet their mortgage loan needs, and that commitment involves the sharing of necessary information with our affiliated third party financial service providers (i.e., FHA, Fannie, Freddie). Also, in order to assist your members in meeting their mortgage loan needs, we have entered into agreements with other companies that provide either services to us (i.e., title agencies) or additional financial products for your members to consider. Under these agreements, we may disclose the information we collect, as described below, to other companies that perform marketing or other services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements.
To protect members’ privacy, we only work with companies that agree to maintain strong confidentiality protections and limit the use of information we provide. We do not permit these companies to sell your members’ information to third parties.
YOUR MEMBERS’ PERSONAL INFORMATION
We will collect the following non-public personal information about your members from a variety of sources and may disclose the information we collect to our affiliated companies.
- From loan applications, we obtain information such as name, address, social security number and income.
- From consumer reporting agencies, we obtain information such as your members’ credit worthiness and credit history.
- From verification of information your members provide on MFM loan applications, we obtain information from current and past employers, other financial institutions and other sources.
These disclosures typically include information to process a mortgage loan on your members’ behalf, conduct the operations of MFM, follow the instructions that your members authorize, and to protect the security of your members’ financial records.
Keeping your member’s information secure
We restrict access to your members’ personal information to only those employees who have a specific business purpose in utilizing their data. Our employees are trained in the importance of maintaining confidentiality and member privacy. We maintain stringent physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to safeguard your members’ non-public personal information.
